Mission Statement
The Alzheimer Society of Oxford exists to improve the quality of life for people and their caregivers living with Alzheimer's disease or related dementias.
Description
The Alzheimer Society of Oxford is a non-profit, charitable organization committed to supporting persons with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias, and their caregivers and families. We provide information, education, and support to individuals and families affected by Alzheimer's disease, including two innovative programs for children and teenagers and one that provides education and support to the person in early stage Alzheimer's disease and their primary caregiver. Education, through seminars and conferences, is also offered for professionals who work with persons affected by this disease. Our Volunteer Companion Program offers trained volunteers who provide companionship to the person with the disease. Our programs and services are offered throughout Oxford County, with educational and support meetings taking place in Woodstock, Tillsonburg and Ingersoll.
