Epilepsy Durham Region is dedicated to promoting independence and optimal quality of life for children and adults living with seizure disorders, through information, awareness, support services, advocacy, and public education.

Description

Despite all available therapies, one third of those with epilepsy continue to have seizures. Many more suffer unacceptable side-effects from existing medications including fatigue, cognitive delays, and risks of birth defects. To invest your contributions effectively, we have assembled an outstanding team of community advisors, who make funding decisions to advance the most promising new programmes for our agency. We are working diligently to make a difference, but only your support will enable us to provide the significant funding needed to make programming for those with epilepsy a reality.
