Programs and Services offered by the Red Deer Chapter include:
1. Information and Referral Service to assist those seeking guidance, information, or referrals regarding learning disabilities, dyslexia, ADHD, and more.
2. Awareness and Advocacy through presentations to interested schools and organizations.
3. Parent/Professional Workshops and Presentations through our Speakers Series.
4. Lending Resource Library open to general public. Members have sign out priviledges.
5. Irlen Screening for perceptual dyslexia.
6. Social Competence Programs - summer day camps, after school programs for ages 7-9, 10-12 and teen programs (NEW).
7. Reading, Writing and Math Programs - one-on-one tutoring developed specifically for the LD student.
8. Tutoring Services including test preparation and study skills.
9. Conferences - 2010 LDAA Provincial Conference in Calgary Oct 6-8, 2010 and 2011 Conference in Red Deer Oct 12-14, 2011 on Adaptive and Assistive Technology.

The Red Deer Chapter of the Learning Disabilities Association of Alberta is a charitable, non-profit organization dedicated to advancing the education and social development of people with learning disabilities in Central Alberta.  We accomplish this through out programs, services and by maintaining close partnerships with those who have learning disabilities, their families, professionals and the community.
