We operate 9 Drop In Centres for the homeless, hungry and hurting across Nova Scotia, where we serve more than 1000 hot, nutritious meals each day and sleep 100 people a night.

Our Mission

To rescue people from poverty, addiction and despair by offering emergency help, such as food, clothing and shelter, life-changing recovery programs, and the Gospel Message.

Drop In Hours:

Halifax: Mon to Fri 1:00-3:00, Sat 12:00-1:00

Bridgewater, Truro, Lower Sackville *& Sydney Mines: Mon to Fri 1:00-3:00

(Closed some stats.) A hot nutritious lunch is served daily. There is music and movies on the big screen TV, the daily papers for job searches, free local calls, internet for resume building and connecting with family, free stamps for mailing letters and resumes, free clothing and household goods, and a Christian lending library. We have a committed group of staff and volunteers that bring a smile and hope to our guests. 

Rev Ken & Michelle Porter have 25 years experience in the field of addictions recovery. They have assisted over 100 men and women off the streets and into a new life.

We also serve 3-course holiday dinners at Easter, Thanksgiving, Christmas, and sometimes even Christmas in July, on July 25th!
