Community Care of St. Catharines & Thorold

We have been helping those facing hardships for over 105 years within St. Catharines and 40 in Thorold. On average, nearly 6,000 individuals and families rely on our Food Security Program every month, this is an increase of 410% over the past 5 years. In 2024 for the first time, the number of existing clients did not stabilize compared to the previous year. Instead, there was a 15% increase in overall clients continuing to rely on our services including food, clothing & household goods, access to housing supports and associated services, back to school and Christmas programs. 

We would not be able to do this without the supportive community, and our extensive food collection program which now nears 1.7 million pounds. This amounts to over 8,000 lbs. of food distributed daily.
