Mission Statement
YWCA Kitchener-Waterloo is part of a worldwide women's movement for social justice in which women help members of their community to achieve their full potential.
Description
For 100 years, we have provided essential programs for women and families in need in the Kitchener-Waterloo community.
Today, our Children's Services programs - licensed daycares, after-school programs, and day camps - help mothers to find economic security in the work force and children of low-income families to start school on an equal footing with their classmates.
Our Housing programs - Mary's Place and Lincoln Road (YWCA Turning Point Programs for Women) - help homeless and hard-to-house women and families with safe housing and crisis support.
Our Youth programs help young women to grow in confidence and self-esteem.
Our Advocacy work includes speaking out in the community on social justice issues that affect women and children.
