Mission Statement

This is the search and rescue team in Vancouver, BC. Please note there are other organizations with a similar name.

The team mission is:

Establish an organization to search for, rescue and assist persons in distress
Education
Assist other organizations with similar purposes
Provide assistance to civil authorities
Provide advice and expertise

Description

North Shore Rescue (North Shore Search and Rescue) is a Mountain Search and Rescue Team based in Vancouver, BC and performs approximately 90 rescues/year.

The team consists of approximately 40 volunteers skilled in search and rescue operations in mountain, canyon and urban settings.

The team depends on donations from government, corporations and members of the community. Without the support of the community North Shore Rescue would not be able to provide this essential and life saving service.
