The mission of Halifax Sexual Health Centre is to improve and optimize the sexual, reproductive, and gender-affirming health of all members of our community, by providing high quality and caring services, and empowering clients to make healthy choices.

About Halifax Sexual Health Centre (HSHC)

The Halifax Sexual Health Centre believes that healthy sexuality is positive and life-affirming for all people at all stages of life. Sexual health is a vital component of personal health determined by the social and economic environment, the physical environment, personal knowledge and available capacities and health services.

Everyone has the right to have complete, freely-accessible, non-judgmental information about sexual and reproductive health. Equally important, everyone has the right to make informed personal choices about their sexual and reproductive health, free from the imposition of external authorities.

The Halifax Sexual Health Centre is an organization that is pro-choice; sex positive; 2SLGBTQ+ focused, inclusive and respectful of diversity; youth-positive; focused on the needs of our clients and community; and respectful of client confidentiality.
