Mission Statement

Concordia Lutheran Seminary, Edmonton, Alberta, is a graduate school of Lutheran Church–Canada that “educates pastors and lay leaders, servants called and sent by the Holy Spirit, to witness to salvation by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and to serve in God’s world.”

Description

Concordia Lutheran Seminary is an accredited graduate theological school providing confessional Lutheran theological formation for students, pastors and lay people. Its graduates serve as qualified and committed church workers in a variety of positions around the world. It is supported by donors who want to see church workers prepared to minister God’s word and sacraments to this world.
The Missionary Study Centre helps to fashion pastors and lay leaders who will have a mission heart, and the ability to reach across cultural barriers. It provides mission-oriented education to church workers in LCC and other church bodies.
Classes are offered through full-time academic programs and a variety of part-time programs. Students can take classes on site and through a variety of alternate delivery methods.
Concordia Lutheran Seminary serves the Church, especially Lutheran Church–Canada, teaching, undertaking research, and fostering communication.
