Our Mission

God calls, equips and sends the church to engage the world with the reconciling Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We are a community of disciples of Jesus, a part of the Body of Christ, covenanted together as congregations, regional churches and a nationwide community of faith.

Gratefully responding to God’s initiatives and empowered by the Holy Spirit, we commit ourselves and our resources to calling, equipping and sending the church to engage the world with the reconciling Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Vision:

God calls us to be followers of Jesus Christ and, by the power of the Holy Spirit to grow as communities of grace, joy and peace so that God’s healing and hope flow through us to the world.

About MENNONITE CHURCH CANADA

Mennonite Church Canada is made up of over 200 congregations and 34,000 baptized members, which represent a cross-section of Canadians. Mennonites first came to Canada in 1786, followed by four successive waves from Europe over the next 150 years. In the years that followed brothers and sisters from all parts of the globe enriched our membership. As Mennonite Church Canada we gather to fulfill our vision and our mission together.
