Mission: To foster and develop, support and champion a vibrant, dynamic arts community in the city of Mississauga through programs and services to enrich the lives of its citizens.

MAC is dedicated to nurturing awareness of, involvement in, commitment to and excellence of all levels of Arts & Culture.

MAC services include advocacy, networking, consultation, communications (marketing/ promotions),Education (through workshops/ seminars/mentorship programs),and programs for artists and the general community.

Description

Who we are: The Mississauga Arts Council, established in 1981 by City Council resolution, is a non-profit, membership based, registered charity. We are the most comprehensive resource for arts and entertainment information in the city of Mississauga!

We currently represent and promote the activities of over 700 individual members and over 210 member organizations – for a combined total of more than 18,000 local artists.

Our efforts throughout our 30 year history have had tremendous impact on the Mississauga community including; the ongoing presentation of the MARTYS (Arts Awards), the initiation of the Community Foundation of Mississauga, Meadowvale Theatre, Visual Arts Mississauga, Art Gallery of Mississauga and the Living Arts Centre.
