At UGM, we believe in meeting people where they’re at, and helping to restore lives by providing holistic services and support. Whether that’s through a nourishing meal and safe shelter, or addiction recovery and supportive housing, our compassionate continuum of care is designed to spark deep healing and build bright futures. ​​

Our Story

Since we were founded in 1940, our mission has always been to serve and uplift communities. We offer care in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, and across Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley. Our eight locations include drop-in centres, live-in recovery programs, social enterprise stores, and more. Through the years, we’ve built strong relationships with the people we serve, and we have adapted to offer responsive, trauma-informed programming. Our heart is to celebrate the diversity of history and cultures in our region, and to love and serve our communities well.
