The Skills Upgrading Centre (Literacy Council York-Simcoe) is an Ontario-based non-profit organization that is dedicated to assisting adults in our community to acquire essential skills in reading, writing and math, prepare to take the CAEC (Canadian Adult Education Credential), upgrade computer skills, and learn skills for employment and life. For more than 40 years, we have provided a safe, supportive, and confidential service to those who want to improve their skills.
We serve hundreds of people annually, providing small class instruction, one-to-one tutoring with trained volunteers and computer-assisted and online learning opportunities.
