L'Arche Association of Lethbridge

L'Arche Lethbridge is a small and intimate L'Arche Community of three homes in which men and women with intellectual disabilities (core members) and those who choose to share life with them (assistants), live and work together. Since our founding in 1964 L'Arche has grown into an International Federation which includes 152 communities in 37 countries. L'Arche Lethbridge is a permanent member of this Federation.

Through L'Arche God reminds us of the essential purpose of human life: out of love, we have been created to love.  We are called to use all our energies and gifts to create a more just and loving society, where each person, whatever their culture, religion, abilities or disabilities, has a place.  L'Arche is a sign that love is possible, and that we are not condemned to live in a state of war and conflict where the strong crush the weak.  Our communities embody the belief that each person is unique, precious and sacred.
