Mission Statement
HAPPA-NL Mission Statement:
To promote and encourage the welfare of all equines and to protect equines against abuse, cruelty and neglect.
To provide sanctuary, shelter and care for any equine which has been neglected, abused or abandoned and to make every effort to restore these equines to good health and if possible, to obtain good, caring, permanent homes for these animals.

Description
The Horse and Pony Protection Association of Newfoundland and Labrador Inc, (HAPPA-NL for short), is a registered charitable foundation with the main focus of providing care for unwanted, neglected, abused or injured horses and ponies. HAPPA-NL also operates the only equine sanctuary in Newfoundland and Labrador at Hopeall, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland.
The Horse and Pony Protection Association of Newfoundland and Labrador is the only organization in Eastern Canada that provides care for equines in need.
Our organization is a registered charitable organization which operates the Hopeall sanctuary from donations. Our budget is lean and all funds raised go directly to providing care for our horses and ponies.
The Hopeall Sanctuary provides much needed care for horses and ponies that have become either unwanted, neglected or harmed.
The equine sanctuary is at the southern end of the community of Hopeall, Trinity Bay, Newfoundland.
