Golden Rescue™ rescues, rehabilitates and rehomes Golden Retrievers. It is one of the largest single-breed rescue groups in Canada.
Since 1990, Golden Rescue™ has been giving abandoned, neglected, displaced, and surrendered Golden Retrievers a second chance at life. What began as a small group of dedicated volunteers has grown into one of Canada's largest breed-specific rescue organizations, powered by more than 500 passionate volunteers and supported entirely through donations.
Every Golden who enters our care begins a journey toward a brighter future. Through our network of foster families, veterinary partners, trainers, and volunteers, each Golden receives the medical care, behavioural support, rehabilitation, love, and patience they need to thrive. We carefully match every Golden with the family that is right for them, helping create successful, lifelong placements.
Our logo says we are About Second Chances, and those words guide everything we do. Whether a Golden comes to us because of hardship, loss, neglect or changing family circumstances, we are committed to giving them the opportunity to live the happy, healthy life they deserve.
Golden Rescue's work reaches communities across Canada. From coast to coast to coast, our volunteers help Golden Retrievers in need find safety, healing, and loving forever families. We also work to educate the public about responsible pet ownership and the lifelong commitment all dogs deserve.
