LaFF’s professional trained staff and volunteers deliver programming designed to offer families and caregivers a hand up by facilitating opportunities for them to make connections in the community, acting as a point of access to supportive resources, and providing hands-on learning opportunities on parenting skills, nutrition education and other skills essential to independence.
LaFF was established in 1995.
About LADYSMITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS SOCIETY
Ladysmith Family and Friends Society (LaFF) is an accredited member of the BC Assn of Family Resource Programs offering drop-in programming for families with children ages 0-6. Parents, children, grandparents, volunteers, and care givers meet at LaFF to access programming that addresses the key Determinants of Health. LaFF’s early intervention and prevention programming is designed to reduce isolation, strengthen parenting, promote healthy child development, provide access to public health within the community, and ensure food security that will improve the health and well-being of children and their families.
