Every day we bring fresh nutritious food that might otherwise not be used from food producing organizations to hungry people in Halton to help them eat and live better

Description

Food for Life collects fresh surplus food (baked goods, fruit and vegetables, meat and dairy) from local grocery stores, restaurants and the corporate food sector seven days a week, and delivers the food to over 42 community agencies in Burlington, Oakville, Hamilton, Mississauga and Halton region. In addition, Food for Life has established over 33 outreach programs in housing complexes and low-income neighbourhoods in Burlington, Oakville, Milton, Acton and Georgetown. In 2009/10 we helped over 20,000 people by delivering 900,000 pounds of food.
