To create sustainable support for community needs in Mississauga by building partnerships with donors and stakeholders who establish endowed and other related funds,to maximize our community impact by ensuring that we identify and understand community needs, and to invest in solutions.

Description

The Community Foundation of Mississauga works with donors, helping them to suport the organizations and charitable activities they care about and creating funds that will exist in perpetuity ensuring the ability to respond to current needs as well as emerging needs and opportunities of the future.

Because the Community Foundation of Mississauga works directly with people, we can provide a further role through our awareness of community needs and providing donors with information and suggestions for working towards solutions. We build social capital by fostering networks of people who care about their communities and provide opportunities for them to become engaged and involved.

And the Community Foundation of Mississauga makes grants from the investment earnings of these endowed funds to a broad range of charitable initiatives, building a better community through the programs and intiatives that enhance quality of life in our city.
