Mission Statement
To provide immediate crisis intervention, emotional support, and community referrals to victims or crime and or tragic circumstance in co-operation with Waterloo Regional Police and other emergency service providers within the Region of Waterloo.
Description
24 hours a day/7 days a week, our volunteers are available to provide immediate assistance to victims of crime and tragic circumstance at the scene of an emergency, or to provide telephone intervention. Our services include emotional and practical support (short term assistance, information/resources, referrals to community-based services, public education, etc). Our website includes a large number of fact sheets and resources. We also host the following programs:
- Volunteer Program
- ACCESS Program (Information Clearinghouse)
- Domestic Violence Emergency Response Program
- Public Education
- Putting the Pieces Back Together (Break and Enter)
- Victim Quick Response Program (financial assistance)
