The mission of Abilities Centre is to enhance the quality of life for persons of all ages and abilities through an inclusive environment.

Description

Abilities Centre is a world class recreation, athletic, and performing arts facility that is fully accessible to persons both with and without disabilties.

The state-of-the-art, universally designed, 125,000 square foot facility houses three regulation basketball courts which are surrounded by a 200 meter, six-lane running track. Fully equipped and accessible program spaces include cardio/fitness and weight rooms, a performing arts theatre, sensory rooms, art and music rooms, a life skills apartment, and more. All of which offer unparalleled opportunities for people of all ages and abilities.

The library, resource, and meeting rooms are spaces within Abilities Centre that allow us to be a knowledge hub of disability services, program information, participation and inclusion research, within a fully integrated community capacity building.
