To raise levels of literacy, arts appreciation and cultural tolerance among the children of all communities in the Toronto region through a combination of the performing arts and supportive educational materials and programming.

Words in Motion serves children within the neediest areas of theToronto region through the promotion and presentation of arts education. This assistance takes the form of performances, workshops and written materials for educators and others in the field. Words in Motion supports teachers who are underserved by the public school system, addressing literacy in its broadest meaning including cultural, emotional and intellectual.
