Mission Statement

The Wapikoni Mobile gives young Aboriginals the opportunity to express themselves using video and music. Apart from nurturing new talent, it encourages discussion among young people, giving them a chance to get to know each other, see different sides of life and have an influence within and beyond their community and in the world.

Description

“Hands-on learning” is the philosophy of Wapikoni Mobile. The young artists are given practical training including script writing and directing, as well as the more technical aspects of filming, sound recording and editing. The training is supervised by young professional filmmakers. The result: thought-provoking documentary shorts and original music.
