Mission Statement

Formed in 2004, The Company Theatre is an actor-focused company whose objective is to bring impeccably performed and thought-provoking theatre to Canadian audiences. With two actors as its founding Artistic Directors, the Company Theatre was created with the goal of challenging Canada’s top acting talent to set a higher standard of performance, while affecting audiences with bold theatrical stories they have yet to see. To achieve this, The Company has set out to create lasting collaborations with the world’s best theatre artists. It is our belief that the crossing of geographic borders leads to the crossing of artistic borders. Fostering collaborative relationships with theatre communities abroad, The Company Theatre will create a platform for more extensive, cross-cultural works, ensuring Toronto’s reputation as one of the world’s great theatre destinations.
