The Education Foundation of Ottawa is the charitable arm of the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board, raising funds for students in need.
At the Education Foundation of Ottawa, it’s simple; we believe that it’s about what kids deserve.
Around 42,000 children in Ottawa are living in poverty or their families are part of the working poor. Students are coming through the doors of our schools without the essentials they need to be active and ready to learn.
At the Education Foundation of Ottawa, our vision is that every student has equity of opportunity for success in their education. We know that by giving children in need the tools for success, we open the doors to a brighter future.
The Education Foundation of Ottawa helps by providing access to funding through our programs:
Students in Crisis - Emergency funding for essentials such as clothing, as well as support through our Backpacks for Brighter Futures Program.
Active Living and Opportunity - Funding for access to recreation, extracurricular activities, and our Awards and Bursaries Program.
Food Security - Funding support for groceries in times of need.
