Mission Statement

Central Eglinton Community Centre provides programs and services to meet the diverse and changing needs of our community. We are committed to: high quality programming; financial, physical and social accessibility; volunteerism; providing opportunities for community participation. We encourage the development of a forum for individuals to share their concerns and ideas, and to work together in the resolution of community issues within an environment that fosters dignity and equity.

Description

Central Eglinton Community Centre, established in 1976, provides the following programs to this north Toronto community: family resource centre (including toy lending library, drop-ins, childcare registry, clothing exchange); after school program and summer day camp for school-age children; evening and Saturday programs for adults (yoga, Latin dance, conversational French, drawing, painting, etc.); public computer lab; income tax clinic; seniors/50+ program; legal advice clinic; financial planning clinic; volunteer programs; room rental for the community; special events (spring bazaar, Health & Beauty Day, annual auction, Holiday Gift Fair).
