The objectives of the Friends of Dismas are:
To recruit, develop and encourage volunteers to become involved in the ministry to persons touched by crime;
To develop awareness through effective communications within the faith community of the needs and issues faced by persons touched by crime;
To encourage and develop a linked virtual network of people and organizations providing support with practical reintegration for the ex-prisoners into the community;
To raise funds and align resources to assist with the costs of volunteer development, practical reintegration needs and program costs of related projects.
