We offer an atmosphere of respect, dignity, and security in order to address spiritual. emotional, and physical needs, all in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
About The Lighthouse
The Lighthouse is a beacon where a community of staff and volunteers willingly and continually respond to the needs of a vulnerable population in the city of Toronto. Our programs respond to real needs as we stay closely connected to the communities we serve. For the supporter and volunteer it is truly an enriching experience to see lives changed.
Since 1968, The Lighthouse has served the Bathurst/Dupont area of Toronto as a ministry to the neighbourhood and wider community of Toronto through friendship, counselling, education, advocacy and hospitality. The Lighthouse works mainly with refugees, newcomers and low-income individuals within the neighbourhood and the Hispanica and Vietnamese communities. The Lighthouse has a foodbank and helps individuals file their taxes which provides assistance to many in the neighbourhood.
