"The Friends in Need FOOD BANK exists to provide for the hungry in the Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows communities, to inform and refer when needed and to raise the awareness concerning hunger issues."

Description

We are the registered food bank for the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows communities. We are a member of the Canadian Association of Food Banks and the BC Chapter. WE DO NOT solicit and operate soley on the generous donations from our communities. We offer food hampers to registered clients on a monthly basis. These hampers have 4-5 days of food as well as a produce and protein supplement each month. We also provide an "extras" hamper each month which contains soap, juice, condiments, paper products etc. We have programs to support babies and a milk program that supports children under twelve and seniors. We provide over 500 hampers each month which equals about 12,000lbs of food. We are open 4 days a week 8:30am to 12:30pm.
