About Lethbridge Polytechnic

At Lethbridge Polytechnic, we know something about making a mark, about digging deep and rising up.We opened our doors in 1957 as Canada’s first publicly funded community college. Each year, we welcome more than 6,500 students in more than 65 certificate, diploma, applied degree, pre-employment and apprenticeship programs, ranging from nursing to environmental sciences, justice studies, design, agriculture, engineering technologies and more.

We are proud to offer nationally recognized and nationally accredited programs taught by instructors with proven careers in the fields they teach. After graduation, our students are ready to move into the working world thanks to their college experiences that include small class sizes, hands-on training and flexible learning possibilities. Our students also have the opportunity to engage in applied research, finding practical solutions to real world problems. At Lethbridge Polytechnic, we are ready – because we know that what happens next matters most.

Located on the traditional lands of the Blackfoot Confederacy, Lethbridge Polytechnic is committed to honouring the land from a place of knowing. We honour the Siksikaitsitapi as both the traditional and current Land Keepers of this area, and we welcome all First Nations, Métis, Inuit and non-Indigenous peoples who call Blackfoot territory their home.
