Description

Salt Spring Hospice is a volunteer organization dedicated to providing comfort, care and support to people affected by life threatening illness. We hope to add quality of life to the end-of-life journey. You are not alone.

Our services are provided in home, hospital or long term care facility settings by trained volunteers. The Bessie Dane Foundation, a registered non-profit society, has been operating our hospice since 1984. Bessie Dane was a retired nurse living in Fulford who gave care and support to those in need.

Salt Spring Hospice is a member of the palliative care team made up of other health care providers on Salt Spring. Our services are free to all patients and their caregivers.

We are grateful for the support of our community to whom we serve.
