Show Your Support For Growing Up Organic this Giving Tuesday
Making a donation to our Growing Up Organic (GUO) program helps bring hands-on, cross-curriculum organic gardening education to life for students across Ottawa, with a special focus on schools in low socio-economic neighbourhoods.
Since 2007, GUO has offered hands-on, curriculum linked workshops to over 10,000 students - and this Giving Tuesday our goal is to raise $10,000 to support GUO's program delivery! Will you help us reach it?
Your donation will support our dedicated team as they work with schools to transform everyday schoolyards into vibrant organic gardens and outdoor learning spaces, where students can become curious, capable, and connected to the environment and the food they grow and consume.
How do funds help GUO make a difference?
🌱 $25 can help prep a garden workshop for one class of students
🌱 $50 can help deliver a garden workshop to a class of 12 students
🌱 $100 can help deliver a garden workshop to a class of 25 students
🌱 $250 can support one garden workshop for three classes (up to 75 students) - giving each class a hands-on learning session in the garden
🌱 $1000 can support a full fall or spring season of garden workshops for a class (up to 25 students) - deepening learning through multiple sessions and ongoing garden care
🌱 $2,500 can support a full fall or spring season of garden workshops for three classes (up to 75 students) - from planting to maintaining to harvest, with multiple sessions and ongoing hands-on learning throughout
🌱 $10,000 can help GUO deliver year-round garden education at four schools (up to 300 students) - supporting students through every season of learning, growth, and stewardship
Together, let’s inspire the next generation of organic growers. Please consider making a donation today!
