In honour of the late Dr. Fatma Amer, who came from a modest background and worked hard throughout her life to become an accomplished researcher, academic and university professor, we established a charity to help women and girls, facing social and economic challenges, complete their education and fulfil their potential.

Dr. Fatma Amer was one of the first women to graduate from the Faculty of Science in Cairo University (1941) and one of the first Egyptian women to obtain a PhD from the UK (University of Southampton, 1955). Through her journey she faced many social and economic obstacles, which were not easy to overcome. It was her dream to help girls and women who are, till today, facing the same challenges she faced, fulfil their dreams.
