The Friends of the South Slopes Society is a volunteer organization located in Kelowna, BC., incorporated in Feb. 1996. It's purpose is to improve trails and facilities and enhance the recreational opportunities on public lands on Kelowna's South Slopes. FOSS has a Partnership Agreement with BC Parks to undertake approved projects in Myra-Bellevue Provincial Park and Okanagan Mtn. Provincial Park. FOSS also works with other partners like the Regional District of Central Okanagan, City of Kelowna Parks Dept. and the Provincial Recreation Sites & Trails branch (Crown land).
The Friends of the South Slopes Society's membership includes representation from mountain bikers, hikers, trail runners, equestrians and trail user groups.
