Since 1977, more than 40,000 participants have taken part in Katimavik programs, supporting over 1,000 communities nationwide. Through the National Experience and FuturePerfect, youth gain paid work experience, practical skills, and the confidence that comes from real responsibility.
By bringing together young people from different regions, languages, and backgrounds, Katimavik fosters connection, resilience, and civic engagement—helping participants grow into capable contributors and engaged citizens.
In 2025–2026, Katimavik is focused on sustaining and expanding access to these programs for youth across Canada.
