91 homicides in 2018, have left many youth and children feeling afraid and seeking ways to feel safe.
MJKO is proud to offer daily, free access to boxing training with certified coaches. We are using the sport of boxing to help kids feel safe again. We are teaching them how boxing can be a tool for good physical and mental health but we NEED YOUR HELP!! It's been a challenging year of grant declines and we need help keeping kids in the gym and off the streets.
We are seeking support from the public during this year's #GivingTuesday movement.
#GivingTuesday is a global movement for giving and volunteering. It's a time when charities, companies and individuals join together and rally for their favorite causes.
The MJKO family has received a generous donation of a beautiful art piece, from South Parkdale resident,Thomas Canning. For each donation made until December 1, 2018 at 5PM, donors will be entered into a draw to win one of his amazing art pieces.
About Mr. Canning.
Thomas Canning is a prolific artist who uses art to escape a world of abuse and pain. Unable to read and write,Thomas uses art to express himself and help the community who saved him. Thomas overcame his addiction and being homeless and now makes a positive impact in the art community. He started to donate his art to several organization including the Daily Bread food bank where one of his prices raised $40,000. MJKO is so honoured that our neighbour, Mr. Thomas Canning choose MJKO as his charity of choice this #GivingTuesday.
