I have volunteered to be part of the 30 Women, 30 Days, $30,000 fundraiser

Imagine being one of the 1 million Canadian's who have to decide between food or shelter because they cannot afford both.

I consider myself blessed.  While my parents may not have been wealthy, we were rich in other ways and because of that there was always an abundance of love & laughter.  As a teen anytime I complained to my parents about not having the best designer jeans or a new car my dad would turn around and say “I cried and cried because I had no shoes, until I met a man with no feet”. I would typically respond with some obnoxious eye rolling and walk away, but now some 20+ years later I finally get it…thanks dad, which is why I have reached out to you.

This month I joined 29 other women who are part of the Habitat for Humanity 30 Women, 30 Days, $30,000 challenge!  Money raised from this challenge will go towards building a home in Peterborough and helping one special family feel hope again.

If you can find it in your heart to help me reach my goal of $1,000 by May 4th, I would greatly appreciate it.
