Raising Funds for Captivenia 2019: Kirsten Rhodes

Hello and Welcome to my Fundraising Page for Captivenia!!!

As a member of the 2019 Captivenia Missionary Team, I have set a personal goal to raise $1000 for the July summer camp. Feel free to 'click' on the 'DONATE NOW' button --> to support our vision and mission:  To inspire the girls to know and receive God's love and unlock the mystery of their feminine genius; empowering them to walk confidently with dignity and grace as apostles. It is our deepest hope and prayer that all who attend Captivenia will be empowered to let their light shine brilliantly for Goodness, Truth, Beauty and Grace!!

Captivenia was founded in 2011 and I attended the very first camp as a 10-year old Maiden. I have been blessed to return every summer since, and currently serve in a theatrical capacity.  Captivenia has had a huge impact in helping me to learn more about my Catholic faith, grow in my identity as a woman of God and supports me in standing on Truth in a world that often would rather look the other way.  One of the greatest gifts I've received are the friendships and witness of beautiful girls and women who love Jesus and want to bring Him to others!

The program is created and delivered by an amazing team of women (ages 16-80), it's pretty incredible to be part of an multi-generational team of ladies who are passionate to bring the love of God to every soul! We share the Gospel and our Catholic faith through an exciting theatrical plotline (Medieval/Fantasy) that draws the girls into an epic battle of good versus evil. Of course you know who wins!!

Because Captivenia is a Mission program, we all pay registration fees (to cover basic expenses of food and accommodation), and additionally we contribute our time and talents to help with needed fundraising. This is truly a labour of love for Christ and for souls!  

What is a 'SLOW BOTTLE DRIVE FUNDRAISER?':  The 'Slow Bottle Fundraiser' takes place over a period of time.  Family and friends are invited to donate proceeds from their recycling efforts towards a specific fundraising initiative. This is a simple way to give your support to important youth ministry work. Donations made online through Canada Helps will receive a tax-receipt by email. Of course, if you prefer to simply make a donation right now, please do!!! ;D

WHY WE FUNDRAISE:  To keep Captivenia affordable, registration fees are kept as low as possible to aid hardworking Catholic families to send their children to camp.  We have set a goal to raise $10,000 with this 2019 Fundraising Challenge, and I've set a personal goal to contribute $1000.
