The Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre is dedicated to building upon the strengths and vision of community members to improve the quality of life in the Christie Ossington community. We collaborate with residents, community institutions, agencies, local businesses and stakeholders, to create a safe and healthy community.
Founded in 1994,the Christie Ossington Neighbourhood Centre is a multi-service agency providing community based programming aimed at five key constituent groups in Toronto's West end;
(a) high needs children via the Nook Children's Program (b) at risk youth via the LOFT and Youth Innovation Centre (c) homeless men via a men's shelter and transitional housing units
(d) At risk women and adults including newcomer, and those from diverse religious and ethno-cultural backgrounds via a daily Community Drop In Centre.
(e)Street Outreach to those living on the streets.
We welcome donations of any amount. Your support helps pay for:
(1) The needs of 1300 at risk children who participate annually in our Nook Children’s Literacy/Arts/Recreation and After School Programming.
(2) The cultural,economic,technological, and social entrepreneurial needs of at risk youth who particpate in visual arts, music production, BizAcademy programs and mentorship via our LOFT Youth Space.
