The F.W.I.C., along with the help of women’s institute groups worldwide, renovated the farm house to reflect the time period in which the Hunter family would have lived there. En collaboration avec nos différents partenaires, nous tentons par toutes nos actions, de permettre aux personnes ayant une DI et/ou un TSA de s'intégrer à la collectivité et d'occuper toute la place qu'elles méritent en tant qu'individu. Fondée en 1979 par des parents d’enfants ayant une déficience intellectuelle, l’Association était prévue pour permettre à ces derniers de briser leur isolement et de se soutenir. En échangeant sur leur vécu, ces parents en sont venus à la conclusion que le besoin principal était d’avoir du répit; des activités de loisirs se sont donc formées. Avec les années et encore aujourd’hui, des services se sont développés pour répondre aux besoins de notre clientèle et de leur famille.
