It was founded in 1958 by the late Rev. David Wilkerson (author of The Cross & The Switchblade). </span> There are now over 1400 programs operating in over 140 countries, including those in Central Canada: Winkler, Brandon, Swan River, Winnipeg, Steinbach, Dryden, Denare Beach, Flin Flon & Thunder Bay.</p>\n<p><em>Our Mission is to offer a full range of addiction treatment and recovery services with compassion and excellence.</em></p>\n<p><em>Our Vision is to see addiction end, new life begin, and freedom for all through Jesus Christ.</em></p>\n<p><em></em></p>\n<p><b>IN-RESIDENCE PROGRAM</b></p>\n<p>If you are struggling with a life-controlling addiction you don’t have to face it alone. Our i<span>n-residence individualized p</span><span>rogressive</span><span> </span>programs for men and women 18+ can help you find freedom from addiction. <span>Full-service live-in addiction treatment programs allow clients to engage in a series of evidence-based therapies </span><a href=\"https://teenchallenge.tc/locations/\"><span>on-site</span></a><span>. Offering comfort and privacy from the outside world, clients are able to fully focus on recovery in a safe space. </span></p>\n<p><span></span></p>\n<p><b>COMMUNITY SUPPORT GROUPS</b></p>\n<p>Whether you're walking through addiction yourself or supporting someone who is, our community support groups offer hope, help, and connection. </p>\n<p>Groups include:</p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Concerned Persons</strong> - For those who have a current or past relationship with a person who has a life-controlling issue.</li>\n<li><strong>Outpatient Programs</strong> - For those struggling with life-controlling issues. <span>Our groups are designed to address the whole person – mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Providing healing and restoration to the whole person, not just treating the symptoms.</span></li>\n</ul>\n<p><b></b></p>\n<p><b>COMMUNITY EVENTS</b></p>\n<p>To spread awareness and help raise funds for our programs, we host a variety of popular community events that include annual snowmobile rides, golf tournaments, ATV & motorcycle rides, rubber duck race, paintball tournameents, radiothons and more! Participating in a community event is a great way to get involved.</p>\n<p><b></b></p>\n<p><b>DRUG AWARENESS</b></p>\n<p>Our outreach team is dedicated to sharing powerful stories of hope, freedom from addiction, and prevention strategies in churches, schools, youth groups, prisons, and beyond.</p>\n<p><strong></strong></p>\n<p><strong>VEHICLE DONATION PROGRAM</strong></p>\n<p>We pick up donated vehicles free of charge, and provide an assessed rate receipt for income tax purposes. Funds raised through our vehicle donation program help cover the operating costs at your local centre. Boats, campers, motorcycles and sleds are also accepted. Students also have opportunities to learn hands-on skills and earn workplace certifications (such as skit steer certification) as they learn under Red Seal Mechanics. <span>They could even be offered the chance to take part in an apprenticeship program.</span></p>\n<p><strong></strong></p>\n<p><strong>MONTHLY PARTNERSHIP</strong></p>\n<p>We count on regular monthly support from a variety of donors to operate. We encourage a minimum monthly donation of $30. Monthly partners receive a postcard quarterly featuring a story from a student currently in recovery, along with a magnetic frame for their fridge and an update about how you are helping bring freedom and new life to individuals, families and communities. It is a great way to be part of someone’s story.</p>\n<p><strong></strong></p>\n<p><strong>YOUR GIVING COUNTS</strong></p>\n<p>We strive to manage funds well and to be good stewards. 89% of your donation goes directly to our programming. 63% of our funds are generated from self-sustaining projects, the vehicle donation program and special events. Private donations and church support bridge the gap and help us deliver quality awareness and recovery programs.
