CASTELIERS organise un festival international annuel et une saison de programmation. CASTELIERS s’adresse tant aux enfants qu’aux adultes et propose des spectacles de formes traditionnelles ou contemporaines, témoignages de la richesse du passé et de la pluralité des créations nouvelles qui s’en inspirent. </span></p>\r\n<div>\r\n<div>\r\n<div>\r\n<p><span>Depuis la nuit des temps et dans toutes les cultures, la marionnette accompagne </span><span>l’Homme et lui renvoie son image. Au fil des siècles, elle a amusé, fasciné, interrogé, ému et troublé son public d’enfants et d’adultes, de savants et d’amateurs. Elle a été de plusieurs révolutions, intellectuelles, artistiques et politiques. Depuis le XXe siècle, son extraordinaire pouvoir poétique et dramatique attire les créateurs des autres arts, qui la courtisent et se l’approprient. L’intérêt toujours grandissant qu’elle suscite se reflète aujourd’hui dans la qualité et la quantité de spectacles qui la mettent en valeur sur les petites et grandes scènes du monde. </span></p>\r\n<p><span>Au Québec, l’art de la marionnette a connu un développement remarquable depuis les années 1950 ; aujourd’hui, plus d’une quarantaine de compagnies professionnelles créent des spectacles pour adultes et pour enfants. Le dynamisme du milieu et la qualité des productions sont soulignés par les pairs et par le public, ici et à l’étranger. Afin d’encourager cet essor, CASTELIERS a été fondé à Montréal en 2005 pour promouvoir la diffusion des arts de la marionnette et l’excellence du travail des créateurs professionnels </span><span>d’ici et d’ailleurs. </span></p>\r\n<p><span>Sans lieu de diffusion attitré, CASTELIERS travaille en synergie avec plusieurs partenaires locaux, nationaux et internationaux : diffuseurs spécialisés et pluri, festivals, institutions d’enseignement et associations disciplinaires. CASTELIERS bâtit ainsi un réseau dynamique qui encourage les initiatives régionales de chacun et accroît le rayonnement des spectacles invités. </span></p>\r\n<p><span>CASTELIERS est partenaire culturel de l’arrondissement d’Outremont, membre de l’Association québécoise des marionnettistes (AQM), de l’Union internationale de la marionnette (UNIMA), de l’Association des diffuseurs spécialisés en théâtre (ADST), du Conseil québécois du théâtre (CQT) et de Culture Montréal. </span></p>\r\n</div>\r\n</div>\r\n</div>\r\n<div>\r\n<div>\r\n<div>\r\n<div>\r\n<p><span>AU CŒUR D’UN VASTE RÉSEAU DYNAMIQUE </span></p>\r\n<p><span>Depuis 2006, CASTELIERS collabore avec de nombreuses institutions montréalaises comme le Théâtre Outremont, les Maisons de la culture, La Chapelle, le Théâtre Aux Écuries, le Conservatoire d’art dramatique de Montréal, Oboro, la Grande Bibliothèque, la Place des Arts, l’École supérieure de théâtre à l’UQÀM et l’Association québécoise des marionnettistes (AQM). CASTELIERS développe aussi des liens privilégiés avec des infrastructures de diffusion en région – Montérégie, Mauricie, Lanaudière, Québec, Saguenay et Estrie – ainsi qu’avec plusieurs organismes canadiens et internationaux, dont le International Festival of Animated Objects à Calgary, le Festival Mondial des Théâtres de Marionnettes de Charleville-Méières en France et Puppet Animation Scotland en Écosse. </span></p>\r\n<p><span>UNE EXPERTISE RECONNUE </span></p>\r\n<p><span>Le FESTIVAL DE CASTELIERS s’inscrit au sein d’un réseau de festivals internationaux renommés et l’organisme constitue une référence pour la diffusion des arts de la marionnette ici et à l’étranger. Au cours des trois dernières années, Louise Lapointe, directrice artistique, a été invitée comme diffuseur et conférencière en Israël, Allemagne, France, Finlande, République tchèque, Espagne, Russie, aux États-Unis et en Chine. Elle témoigne à chaque occasion du dynamisme de la pratique actuelle au Québec et au </span><span>Canada. </span></p>\r\n<p><span>Depuis 2010, CASTELIERS accueille par ailleurs chaque année pendant son festival plus d’une vingtaine de programmateurs étrangers – canadiens, américains et européens – afin de promouvoir le rayonnement et favoriser la tournée de spectacles de marionnettes québécois et canadiens. </span></p>\r\n<p><span>Prix reçus </span></p>\r\n<ul>\r\n<li>\r\n<p><span>2011 : Prix « gaine d’or » remis par l’AQM lors de la Soirée Hommage du Colloque sur les arts de la marionnette National Park in the SW corner of Alberta. This 1041 sq km expanse of land is the most biodiverse in Alberta, with almost all the species that were present at European contact (lacking only the bison).
