line-height: 115%;\"></span><span style=\"font-size: 11.0pt;\"> </span></p>\n<p><span>Each summer, Able Sail brings more than 300 sailing outings to Southeast New Brunswick, </span>creating moments of adventure, confidence, and pride for people with disabilities from across the province.</p>\n<p>This year marks an exciting period of growth as we expand our Shediac program to include at-risk youth and pilot complementary transportation for participants with mobility limitations.</p>\n<p>We are also proud to be launching a pilot program at the newly formed Charlottetown branch this summer, extending the joy and impact of adaptive sailing to a new community.<span style=\"color: #231f20;\"> </span><span style=\"color: #222222; We know from experience the health and social benefits that adults, youth and children with physical disabilities can gain from sailing. Able Sail Toronto exists to enable access to sport and healthy activities, particularly for people living on a fixed income as many of our members do. Sailing is a versatile sport that easily adapts to the needs of people with physical disabilities and it levels the playing field. We strive to give our members a sense of independence, pride and self-sufficiency. </p>\n<h3>How does it work?</h3>\n<p>We provide specially-designed sailboats, docks and all the specialized equipment necessary for people with limited mobility, dexterity, sensation and strength to be able to get in a sailboat and go sailing. Our goal is to enable a sense of independence and self-sufficiency.</p>\n<p>Participants sail for pleasure, competition and to socialize. Typical activities are pleasure sails, sailing lessons, race competitions and social events.</p>\n<p><span>Able Sail Toronto depends on the support of private, public and corporate donations. Funds donated are used to purchase and maintain the adapted sailboats as well as other equipment. To maintain the highest standards of operations, facilities and equipment. We also aim to be a leading example for accessible sailing. </p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As our accessible sailing boats and other equipment age, donations help keep the fleet afloat. We also aim to keep registration fees low for participants. With registration fees at $30/session, the costs are $130/session.
