style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> e.g. language, ethnicity, race, sexual orientation, and gender. Today, </span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">we recognize that often missing in this discussion is the understanding of religious and </span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">non-religious identities and traditions – an understanding that can foster respect and </span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">dismantle discrimination or harm towards another person based on their belief or affiliation.</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">As a group of researcher-educators, our research shows that effort from every portion of society is needed in order to foster </span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">understanding and respect for religious, non-religious, and spiritual individuals. As a result, <a href=\"https://ccrl-clrc.ca/work/\">our programming is multi-faceted</a>. We offer programs, workshops, and </span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">professional development seminars to industry staff (such as health professionals, </span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">police officers, and sales and other business professionals), community leaders, </span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">educators, parents, and students.</span></p>\r\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https://ccrl-clrc.ca/about-ccrl/team/\">As a group of religious literacy specialists</a>, our combined </span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">experiences and research fuel the work at CCRL.
