Our dedicated volunteers offer their porches as convenient drop-off points for donated diapers. This allows individuals in the community to contribute whenever they can and creates a network of support that spans across Toronto. Additionally, we actively connect companies, communities, and individuals interested in hosting diaper drives with our partner organizations capable of distributing these vital resources to families in need.Our fundraising efforts means we can continue to fill the gap by ordering diapers directly to our partners in order to support the immediate need for families with little ones. the Government of Alberta has failed to promote a well-funded and aggressive human rights agenda in Alberta. The inability of the Alberta Human Rights Commission to fulfill the objectives and vision outlined in the <em>Alberta Human Rights Act</em> is the core reason that the Dignity Forum was created.</p>\r\n<p>We are concerned that there has been, and continues to be, an alarming growth in the incidence of overt intolerance, harassment and discrimination, of Alberta’s racialized communities. The Dignity Forum was created to combat these systemic issues through advocacy and education.</p>\r\n<p>The Dignity Forum is a federally incorporated registered charitable organization. Our work started by conducting an environmental scan of influential groups, both grassroots and registered non-profits, working in the sector of Human Rights. We also retained the services of Policy Wise to take an in-depth look at the history of Alberta’s Human Rights Commission and what opportunities exist to ensure better inclusivity for all Albertans. The findings in the report support the basis of our concerns over the state of human rights in Alberta and the gaps in the operation of the Alberta Human Rights Commission.</p>\r\n<p>We intend to expand our board with concerned Albertans and undertake our commitment to better the lives of our under-represented citizens, who on a daily basis, face the degradation of bigotry, discrimination and prejudice. By working with other committed groups and individuals, we will make a difference.</p>\r\n<p>It is a lofty ambition! people through exhibits and stories to the history and cultural heritage of the Drumheller Valley during the Coal Mining era, from 1911 to 1971, with emphasis on East Coulee and the historic school.</p>\r\n<h2>About THE DINOSAUR VALLEY HERITAGE SOCIETY</h2>\r\n<p>The not-for-profit board of directors comprising the Dinosaur Valley Heritage Society maintains the East Coulee School Museum in East Coulee, Alberta. The Museum is not funded by any level of government. This is a visitor supported site, with operations supplemented by grants, fundraisers and donations. </p>\r\n<p>The Museum is a former 12-room school built in 1930 and later opened as a museum in 1985. It is a registered Provincial Historic Resource, a designated Municipal Heritage Building, and has Recognized Museum status from the Alberta Museums Association.</p>\r\n<p>Entering the Museum is walking into the past. Creaky floorboards, chalkboards, and wooden desks with inkwells tell stories of past students' lives. Exhibits a include a 1930's classroom, a Coal miner's room, Cultural displays, and a miner's bachelor shack, and a 3-room 1940's family home; all depicting life in the once-booming town of East Coulee. </p>\r\n<p>Visit the Artisan Gift Shop and plan for lunch at the Willow Cafe, featuring house-made daily specials, baked goods and cool treats. Open Seasonally.
