When we address poverty, addiction, mental health, and domestic violence through a connection to resources, programs, and support we can reduce recidivism and increase the overall health of our community. Our Court Case Management services focus on advocating and delivering services to women who are before the courts, incarcerated, or at risk of criminalization. We provide meaningful alternatives to incarceration believing that we can make a real difference in the lives of women by offering them community alternatives to sentencing. .</p>\r\n<h2>About THE ELIZABETH FRY SOCIETY OF PETERBOROUGH</h2>\r\n<p><span>The Elizabeth Fry Society of Peterborough has three main programs and services:<span> </span></span></p>\r\n<p><span><span><span><span>1. The community services offered by the Elizabeth Fry Society of Peterborough include group programming and individual counselling within a low barrier community agency. Our groups include: Anger Solutions, Wellness and Self-Esteem, Healthy Relationships, Substance Abuse Program, Women and Integrity Shoplifting program and Financial Literacy. We also offer group programming and individual support to women incarcerated at the Central East Correctional Centre. </span></span></span></span></p>\r\n<p><span>2. Court Case Management Services – This program is directed by our Court Case Manager and delivered by the assistance of our court support worker. The staff in this program attends at the Criminal Court on a daily basis and advocate for community alternatives to incarceration. This work includes facilitation and supporting access to services across the community. </span></p>\r\n<p><span><span>3. Bail Verification and Supervision - This program is delivered in both the Peterborough and Lindsay Criminal Courts. Our staff is in the court daily to provide verified information to the court so that individuals can be released on bail and to supervise men, women, and youth released to the Bail Program. The supervision component involves facilitation of appropriate referrals to, and following up with, community agencies especially with regards to persistent mental health and addiction issues, poverty and homelessness. Our Indigenous support services offer a holistic and culturally appropriate approach to ensuring systemic discrimination factors that have played a role in previous convictions and unique background factors are considered for release and service delivery options. </span></span></p>\r\n<p><span>We recognize the rights of women to dignity and respect in all aspects of their involvement with the criminal justice system. All facilities are fully accessible and include dormitories, beds, mattresses, and fully functioning kitchens supplied with dishes and utensils. Indoor and outdoor washrooms are both available, and each camp has space for tenting and those wishing to “rough it”. <strong>With resident caretakers on hand to assist groups, Elks Camps are the full experience and are enjoyable for all, with over 4000 children enjoying them annually. It</span> has a kitchen, dining area, washrooms, and a large dormitory that sleeps 45 indoors. Outdoor toilets are located throughout the camp for camping groups. <span>A volleyball net, fire pit and horseshoe pitch offer options for outdoor group activities. For outdoor dining, there are 14 picnic tables in a covered banquet area.</span></p>\n<p><span>Elkhaven includes 35 acres of forest area, private access to the beach, and an orchard with 7 grassy acres for outdoor camping. </span>It has a kitchen, dining area, washrooms, and a large dormitory that sleeps 45 indoors. The camp is adjacent to a park with walking trails, ball diamonds, a playground and access to Canoe Beach.</span></p>\n<p><span>Elkcanoe has 4 cabins that sleep 64 persons indoors, with a large main facility for dining and indoor activities.</span></p>\n<p><span>There are paths surrounding the camp for exploring. Although adjacent to a park, swimming beach and other amenities, the camp being amid a treed area gives the feeling of camping in the country.</span></p>\n<p><span><a href=\"https://bcelks.ca/childrens-camps/#elkgrove\"><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><strong>Camp Elkgrove</strong></span></a> 27863 0 Ave, Abbotsford, BC V4X 1A5Camp Elkgrove is situated two miles east of the Aldergrove border crossing on \"0\" Avenue, on a 5-acre parcel of land, beside Aldergrove Regional Park. This state of the art camp has a farm theme, with a variety of farm animals on the property.</span></p>\n<p><span>There are 4 cabins and a large kitchen/dining activity building, fully equipped with indoor washrooms and showers. This facility sleeps 56 indoors, with space outdoors for tenting.</span></p>\n<p><span>For activities, the camp offers hiking and cycling trails, a large fire pit, and covered dining area with 4
