We have four main focus areas:</p>\r\n<p>CHIMO Helpline: A Provincial crisis helpline available to all New Brunswickers.</p>\r\n<p>Youth Intervention Services: A variety of services for at risk youth including job skills, life skills, mentorship, anger management, stress management, job placement, leadership, school support and liaison, referrals and more. </p>\r\n<p>Housing First Services: <span>Housing First is a recovery-oriented approach to ending homelessness that centres on quickly moving people experiencing homelessness into independent and permanent housing, and then providing additional supports and services as needed. Currently, we own and operate 53 permanent, affordable housing units, for people who had been experiencing homelessness. John Howard KidStart is a preventative volunteer mentoring program focusing on the positive development of children and youth ages 6-18. Mentoring services are delivered by carefully screened and trained volunteers. KidStart relies on donations, grants, monthly sponsors (KidStart Champions), and Gaming funds -Province of BC. </p>\n<p>We are also raising funds for Foundry Campbell River and Foundry Comox Valley. As the lead agency of both centres, John Howard is working in partnership with government, community agencies, community partners, and donors to provide a variety of health and social services in each community.
