Access Youth Outreach Services</h2>\r\n<p><strong>We meet youth where they are, to help them get to where they want to go.</strong></p>\r\n<p>Access Youth is an award-winning, independent, progressive and innovative community-based, registered charity established in 1993. We deliver innovative programs and services for youth ages 12-23 who are marginalized and/or experiencing multiple barriers. Our programs promote mental wellness, food security, and connection back to community.</p>\r\n<p>Access Youth's core program, Project Reach Out, is the first mobile drop-in centre and outreach program for street-involved youth. <span>Since its inception, Project Reach Out has made over </span><strong>35,000 connections in the community</strong><span>, providing engagement with youth. </span></p>\r\n<p><span>The Youth Empowerment Worker program is a referral-based program that is open to all youth who are facing barriers between the ages of 12 – 23. With the goal of family strengthening (however families are defined), the Youth Empowerment Worker program focuses on four key areas of support: Individual, peer, school and community. </span></p>\r\n<p><span>Youth Gour-Made is a one-of-kind food security program that has no cost to youth and families. </span><span>Each week the Gour-Made team delivers meal kits right </span><span>to the front door of each youth. The meal kits include a recipe of the week with step-by-step cooking instructions and all the ingredients needed to complete the recipe for the household. Currently households range for 2 persons to 10 persons. At the start of each session, each youth also receives a starter kit with key staples such as oil, flour, herbs and spices to be used each week for cooking. </span></p>\r\n<p><span>The Art Journaling Group is a weekly after-school program. Each week is a themed conversation around topics like consent, boundaries, healthy relationships, substance use/abuse and many other important topics of conversation for our youth to explore together with a facilitator. Depuis sa création, Procjet Reach Out a établi plus de 35,000 connexions dans la communauté, en engageant des interactions avec les jeunes.</p>\r\n<p>Le programme d’intervenants en autonomisation des jeunes est un programme basé sur des références, ouvert à tous les jeunes de 12 à 23 ans qui font face à des obstacles. Ce programme se concentre sur quatre domaines clés de soutien : individuel, entre pairs, scolaire et communautaire.</p>\r\n<p>Youth Gour-Made est vraiment un programme unique en son genre. Chaque semaine, l’équipe de Gour-Made livre directement à votre porte la recette de la semaine, les colis alimentaires contenant tous les ingrédients nécessaires pour réaliser la recette de la semaine, suffisamment d’ingrédients pour que les jeunes participants puissent nourrir tout leur foyer avec la recette de la semaine, ainsi qu’une carte de recette avec des instructions de cuisson étape par étape.</p>\r\n<p>Le Art Journaling Group est un programme hebdomadaire après l'école. Our team works with their clients so that they can be hopeful, healthy, dream big and thrive in the community.</p>\r\n<p>• <strong>Housing Registry</strong> - Accessible Housing keeps up-to-date on accessible and affordable homes in Calgary and can link you to appropriate community resources and help you find a home that matches your needs. </p>\r\n<p>• <strong>Residential Accessible Design (RAD Renos)</strong> - Unfortunately there are many Calgarians who develop a mobility issue. This could be due to a new spinal injury, a progressive disease or age-related mobility issues. When this happens it can be very difficult accessing different areas of a home. Homeowners are often barely able to access areas of their homes.
