\r\nCauseway’s mission is to build better communities by employing each person’s abilities. By helping everyone find productive and rewarding work, we are setting off a chain reaction that sends waves of good throughout our communities.

\r\nCauseway is a not-for-profit agency in Ottawa, Ontario that helps people with mental illness and other challenges find meaningful, rewarding work and live more independently. By helping everyone overcome their challenges and reach their full potential, we are helping establish stronger and more inclusive communities.
\r\nOur goal isn’t just to find work for our clients – it’s to find the perfect fit. We want to make community work by matching community members with the right opportunities. By matching each client with the right job opportunity, we are helping them reach their potential while transforming lives with purpose and belonging.
\r\nCauseway began in 1977 as the Causeway Post Psychiatric Corporation. In the beginning, we focused on assisting people with mental health issues in preparing for and finding employment. After many years, we have evolved to become the Causeway Work Centre, and have expanded our activities and our impact to meet the needs of a broader spectrum of people. We are constantly looking for new ways to innovate. This is the approach that truly sets us apart. It allows us to transform lives and change communities by piloting new community ventures and leading the way in the area of social enterprise.

En aidant ces personnes à surmonter leurs difficultés et à atteindre leur plein potentiel, nous contribuons à créer des collectivités plus fortes et plus inclusives.
\r\nFondé en 1977, Causeway a pour mission d’aider les personnes atteintes de maladies mentales à trouver un emploi. Au cours de sa quarantaine d’années d’existence, Causeway a élargi ses activités et accru ses résultats en vue de répondre aux besoins d’un spectre plus large de personnes. Nous sommes constamment à la recherche d’innovations. C’est cette philosophie qui nous distingue vraiment des autres. Elle nous permet de transformer des vies et de changer la collectivité en menant de nouvelles initiatives communautaires et en faisant œuvre de pionnier dans le domaine de l’entreprise sociale.

We exist because we recognize the importance of computer literacy and believe that all children should have equal access to computers, regardless of social or economic status. With the collection of electronic donations from across the community, we donate computers to suitable families and develop computer labs in an effort to create an even playing field for Windsor's youth.

\r\nBecause we cannot refurbish every donation we receive, Computers For Kids has taken an active role in the responsible recycling of electronic waste. Since 2005, we have recycled over 2 million pounds of excess waste and are pleased to offer everyone in Windsor/Essex County the opportunity to contribute to the betterment of our environment.
\r\n\r\nComputers For Kids was founded in March of 2004 with the vision of providing refurbished computer systems to children who may not otherwise have the chance to own one. Since then, the organization has helped one child at a time, growing to provide public computer learning centres as well as becoming a full service computer and electronics recycler.

\r\nWith the generous support and hard work of our many donors and volunteers, Computers For Kids has been able to open over 40 computer labs throughout Windsor/Essex County, recycle over 2 million pounds of e-waste and donate over 1,000 computers to date.
