Agapè Centre provides nutritious food for the social good of the community we serve. Food is our foundation and eating well is the first step.
\r\nThe Agapè Centre is a non profit organization that is open to help people in our community. We have a soup kitchen, food bank, clothing program, garden, as well as, food literacy programs for young people and children. We are 100 percent funded through the generosity of our community. With your support, we are able to ensure that no family goes hungry, cold, or without any of their basic necessities of life.

These women are faced with problematic situations: difficulties in accessing stable employment, complex administrative and immigration procedures, precarious financial situations leading to difficulties in eating well. We know that one of the most important pillars to ensure the well-being of women and their families is economic stability. Beyond covering their basic needs, this stability plays an important role in the development of their self-confidence, sense of achievement and self-assertion. These aspects are fundamental for the healthy development of any individual and for their full integration into society. Faced with these various factors of vulnerability, whether individual, socio-cultural or structural, women living with HIV tend to isolate themselves and not dare to ask for help. This support work carried out by CASM is essential to ensure social inclusion and empowerment of women for women. In parallel to its mission of helping people living with HIV, the CASM is developing a project for the prevention and promotion of sexual health among young people at school. Access to information and protective materials must be increased to help limit the incidence of STIs in the population.

Ces femmes font face à des situations problématiques : difficultés d’accès à un emploi stable, démarches administratives et d’immigration complexes, situations financières précaire conduisant à des difficultés à bien s’alimenter. Nous savons qu’un des piliers les plus importants pour assurer le bien-être de la femme et de sa famille est la stabilité économique. Au-delà de couvrir leurs besoins élémentaires, cette stabilité joue un rôle prépondérant dans le développement de leur confiance en soi, leur sentiment d’accomplissement et l’affirmation de soi. Des aspects fondamentaux pour le sain épanouissement de tout individu et pour sa pleine intégration dans la société. Face à ces différents facteurs de vulnérabilité qu’ils soient individuels, socioculturels ou structurels, les femmes vivant avec le VIH ont tendance à s’isoler et à ne pas oser demander de l’aide. Ce travail d’accompagnement réalisé par le CASM est essentiel pour garantir une inclusion sociale et un empowerment de femmes pour les femmes. En parallèle de sa mission d’aide pour les FVVIH, le CASM développe un projet de prévention et de promotion de la santé sexuelle auprès d’un public jeune scolarisé. L’accès à l’information ainsi qu’aux matériels de protection doit s’accentuer pour contribuer à limiter l’incidence des ITSS dans la population.
